NH MSP STEM Literacy Community of Practice

The NH MSP STEM Literacy Community of Practice employed a Professional Development concept specifically developed to initiate STEM. The project defined STEM Literacy as the process of combining the languages of text, visual and data into a relevant project. In addition the project initiated a Professional Development System, The 3 I PD process (interest –based, inquiry-driven and integration through student evidence. This process led to innovations in teacher engagement with professional development, local based project support and evaluation design. The results of the project were demonstrated by state testing and the sustainability of the projects initiated by the teachers to continue their integration evidence utilizing digital tools. The video maps out the process of the 3 I PD process and shares how the system forms a sustainable STEM Literacy Community of Practice.
