Grades K-6, Grades 6-8

To increase student engagement, teachers in grades 4-8 write and implement integrated STEM curricula as a result of intense, year-long training and coaching delivered through the EngrTEAMS professional development project. Through their stories and words, we can learn about the highlights and most rewarding aspects of this unique experience.

The EngrTEAMS project begins with an intensive summer seminar to bring together teams of teachers to write their own engineering design-based unit. Teams focus on integrating science concepts, meaningful data analysis and measurement. Throughout the following school year, classroom implementation paired with coaching from content experts further informs the design process.

Teacher learning through EngrTEAMS is changing what’s happening in classrooms and how students are learning: making a difference!
